Albion Primary School offers Breakfast Club and an Extended Day, where childcare is provided for children before and after school.

Breakfast club runs every school day from 8.00am to 9.00am. Breakfast Club is fully supervised and provides children with a calm and healthy start to the day. Breakfast includes; cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurts.

5 breakfast Club

Children can be registered for five days only, at a cost of £15.00 per child, per week (£25.00 for reception children).

After School Clubs

Each term we run a variety of after school activity clubs, such as Gym, Craft, Multi-Sports, Football, Cheerleading and Art. Letters are sent out inviting children to apply for places and often target specific children and age groups. A charge may be made for some of the clubs as we may need to engage specialist instructors for them.

Extended Day

Extended day offers children a range of activities after school each day.

There are a limited number of places and priority is always given to children of working parents, all places are full time only.

Please note that school weeks that include Inset days are charged at the full rate.

One parent commented, ‘The afterschool club is safe and engaging, yet relaxed and fun. They provide homemade food, do fun craft projects, listen to their reading and support them learning to write. They also have outside play in the warmer months and indoor games in the hall in the cooler months. The children can have a bit of down time by watching TV if they want to.’

Fees must be paid in full if a child does not attend, in order to secure their place.  Children are collected from their classrooms at 3.15 by Albion staff. They must be picked up no later than 5.45pm (5pm Fridays), or there is an additional charge. Please see the Extended Services Contract, signed when you enrol your child/children, for details (download a sample contract here).

What the children say:

‘We get to eat yummy food that will make us big and strong.’

‘My favourite activity is to prepare and cook our soup for tea.’

‘I love it when the adults sit and read me a book.’

What the Parents say:

“After School Club at Albion is fantastic. The children thoroughly enjoy their time there and the staff take great care of them. Every day is different and the staff make sure that at the end of a hard day at school, educational activities are mixed in with a lot of playtime.”

“Children of different ages learn and play together – our daughter is in reception class and mixing with older children has really helped her confidence and helped her settle in at Albion. She’s really proud to know children from other classes.”
