A family wrote into Albion as they were overly touched by the part our children played in singing in our choir near City Hall overlooking the Thames.

'Yesterday we witnessed an extraordinary event. Pupils from Albion joined hundreds of other school children in forming a kids choir. Overlooked by Tower Bridge and the Majors office, parents, the public and passers-by were treated to over an hour’s performance of remarkable music from around the globe, based on the theme of water. Their repertoire ranged from classical Mozart through African rhythms to modern day anthems, all performed with exceptional focus and professionalism...'

'...what a wonderful riposte to the issues facing our society to hear your pupils appeal for peace through lyrics such as- ‘we’re all someone’s daughter, we’re all someone’s son… how long must we look at each other down the barrel of a gun... you’re the voice...’ We found it deeply moving! Further from home, the ‘Totally Thames’ event was sponsored by Thames Water and was dedicated to raising money for the charity Water Aid’s  work in Malawi. People will gain access to fresh water and sanitation, thanks to the children’s efforts.'

We thank this family for their kind words and support in recognising the work we do to ensure children at Albion are inspired today for tomorrow's world!
