Celebrating Success
At Albion Primary School, we take great pride in celebrating the successes of our children and promoting positive attitude and ethics. As such, we aim to work hard towards being awarded with local and national awards. They help solidify our accomplishments and also inform us of what we need to do next to improve.
In academic year 2023-24 we were awarded the TfL Stars Gold level accreditation. This was for setting high stardards to inspore others to transform travel habits, fully engaging with the wider community to promote best practices, and see measurable reduction in the number of journeys made by car every day.
In May 2024 we were award the Pupil Wellbeing Award - Gold - Accredited by Optimus Education.
The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
In 2024 we were awarded the British Council Internation School Award - Intermediate Certificate. It is in recognition of way of promoting the international dimension across our school and throughout our curriculum.
In May 2024 we were awarded the NCCE Computing Quality Mark for the quality of our computing curriculum.
Healthy Schools London is an Awards Programme that will reach out to every London child, working with schools to improve children and young peoples's wellbeing. Albion has once again been awarded Healthy School London Bronze Award in March 2024.
We are proud to be awarded RHS School Gardening Award Level 3 in October 2023. Level 3 is about extending the range of plants you grow, keeping your plants healthy and using planet-friendly approaches when you garden. To find out more, click here.
In October 2023 we were awarded a Certificate of Progress to confirm we demonstrated progress in improving our computing curriculum through our use of the NCCE Computing Quality Framework.
We have been recognised by Southwark Music Service in September 2023 for the value we place on music and the hard work we do to ensure that pupils at Albion are able to access and engage with high-quality music education.
Your dedication to offering and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum is both welcomed and celebrated.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games SILVER LEVEL Mark Award for the 2022/23 academic year.

In November 2022 Albion was awarded the Yes Futures Certificate of Partnership 2022-23.
In March 2022 Albion was awarded The National Centre for Computing Education Certificate of Commitment to the Computing Quality Framework.
In February 2024 our annual regulatory Food Standards Agency inspection took place and we are very pleased to announce that we have retained the highest rating of 5.
In 2020, Albion Primary School successfully met the criteria for the Foundation level of the British Council International School Award.

Your application clearly depicts diverse and inclusive perspectives you have adopted throughout your school to raise cultural awareness which are demonstrated further in your activities.
During summer 2019, Albion was successful in their application for the School Games Bronze Mark. This award recognises the school’s committment to the development of sporting competition across school and into the community.
Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 67 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet. Albion was awarded Silver Award in 2019 for the commitment to sustainable living.

A family wrote into Albion as they were overly touched by the part our children played in singing in our choir near City Hall overlooking the Thames.
