Thank You!
A very big thank you to all parents/carers who attended this morning’s EYFS Stay & Play and KS1 & 2 Drop-in sessions. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces celebrating the children’s work thanks to our dedicated teachers and support staff. The pride and smiles were truly heartwarming. We look forward to the next sessions.
About Parent Drop-in
Our drop-in sessions build essential partnerships between home and school, allowing parents/carers to review children's work, discuss progress informally, and understand classroom routines. They foster a supportive, non-judgmental community where parents/carers can seek advice, address concerns like attendance or behaviour, and support their child's learning.
Key purposes of these sessions include:
Understanding Learning: Parents/carers can see their child’s work, understand the curriculum, and observe teaching methods in action, such as phonics or maths techniques.
Support and Networking: These sessions provide a space for parents/carers to share experiences, reduce isolation, and receive advice on supporting their child's emotional or learning development.
Building Trust: They strengthen ties between families and staff, fostering an inclusive environment that breaks down barriers to communication.
Early Intervention: They offer an opportunity for, or a "soft" approach to, discussing issues like school attendance, behaviour, or learning gaps before they become major concerns.
