Year 5 and 6 pupils have transformed their museum visit into published works of art in an inspiring collaboration between celebrated writer Eugenia and the National Gallery! Pupils participated in specialised creative writing workshops where they drew inspiration from the gallery's masterpieces to craft their own literary works.

The innovative program culminated in a professional publication featuring the pupil’s writing, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. At today’s book launch event, proud young authors were presented with their own copies of the anthology, and shared their creative achievements with family and peers.

The celebration included live readings from the published works, giving students the opportunity to showcase their talent and newfound confidence as writers. The event, complete with a book signing session and refreshments, drew enthusiastic responses from parents/carers, who praised the program's impact on their children's creative development.

This initiative demonstrates the powerful intersection of visual arts and creative writing in young minds,

 commented Caroline - deputy headteacher.

The success of the program highlights the importance of exposing young students to both classical art and creative expression, fostering a new generation of writers and art enthusiasts.
