Year 4 & 6 Tin Punching

Y4 and Y6 have been working with architects from Hayatsu Architects who have been central to the regeneration work going on at The Blue Bermondsey.

There will be a 9m tall clock tower in the centre of the outdoor market area which is clad in locally produced tin discs. The children looked at the Bermondsey coat of arms and chose elements to draw on their tin disc, using a hammer and metal punching tool to etch their design. Look at the News section of the website and the Albion twitter feed for more images. It was incredibly noisy but worth it to see just how creative our children are!
